South Africa Will Not Be Preparing for Titanfall
According to a post on EA’s South Africa Facebook, EA has decided not to release their upcoming, hotly anticipated FPS Titanfall in the African country. The statement reads as follows:
After conducting recent online tests for Titanfall, we found that the performance rates in South Africa were not as high as we need to guarantee a great experience, so we have decided not to release Titanfall in South Africa at this time.
We understand this is a disappointment for local fans and will keep fans posted on any future plans regarding the release of Titanfall in South Africa
Fans on the page are very understandably outraged at the decision, seeing as a lot of them more than likely chose a Xbox One for this game. EA did not rule out the possibility of a future release in their statement, but as of now no future plans have been detailed. This is after the Beta was delayed in South Africa back in February so Respawn could test how the game would perform.
Titanfall will launch in most countries on March 11th for the Xbox One and PC. The Xbox 360 version will release on March 25th.
We’ll keep you updated on this story as more develops.
