Dying Light Gets E3 Trailer
Dying Light, the first person, Mirror’s Edge cross Dead Island zombie smashing parkour fest gets a new trailer today just in time for E3.
In case you’ve forgotten, or are unfamiliar with Dying Light, the game takes place in an open world where you can explore an urban environment by day, scavenging for supplies in a world destroyed by an epidemic. Night brings with it the horror of mutated infected as they chase you down in hordes.
The game was recently delayed into February 2015, joining the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. However, not all is lost as we’re presented with a new trailer today.
Running on Techland’s proprietary Chrome Engine 6, the latest trailer prominently features the parkour element, which Techland describes as “natural movement”. Apart from effectively traversing the environment, this system can combine with the combat to help you fight off hordes of infected as you run to safety.
It’s all pretty exciting stuff. You can be sure to see and hear more about Dying Light at E3 2014, which takes place on June 10-12. Dying Light is scheduled for February 2015 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
