The Elder Scrolls Online Public Test Server, or PTS, has now been made available to all players who have an active subscription to the game. While the PTS has been active since the months leading up to the game’s release, it was only accessible through invitation from the game developers. Now any player can participate in testing the game’s upcoming patches, additions and wealth of new content.
In a post on the forums, Gina Bruno gives us a breakdown:
We’re happy to announce that the Public Test Server (PTS) is now available to everyone with an active subscription! The PTS allows you to test new systems and areas, and provide vital feedback before we launch them to the live server. To download the PTS, just open your launcher and go to the Settings, then select “Show Public Test Environment.” The PTS will automatically begin patching, and you’ll need to use the same UserID and password as you do with the live server to log in.
We have also opened a new subforum for PTS players to discuss the contents of the current content being tested, to report issues, and give feedback. Please note that like the PTS, this subforum is International and we welcome English, German, and French discussions.
Players can begin to test out the new Veteran Rank version of the Crypt of Hearts, as well as any other fixes and additions in the most recent PTS patch. Are you looking forward to contributing to the developers and testing out the new content? Let us know in the comments, and make sure you listen to the guys on The Elder Scrolls: Off the Record this Thursday, LIVE at 7pm Eastern for their reaction to this news.
