Fans of this game, fear not! It looks like Bethesda has your best interest at at heart, creating the game they want their fans to be able to play.

Elder Scrolls Online releases on PC and Mac on April 4, 2014 and on PS4 and Xbox One in June 2014.

Prof Hutch says:

My simple question is on what grounds were they issued the M rating? did they discover something along the same lines that bumped oblivion from a T to a M rating?

Simon Ivons-Anforth says:

I personally believe this is a good thing… Have games like WoW for the kiddies and Leave TESO for the adults!
Thumbs up for them sticking to their guns and not changing anything.

Karoneth says:

Agreed, I believe it’s a positive event for ESO in the long run.

Cheesepleroma says:

Alright, ancient tales of the sultry exploits of Lifts-Her-Tail!

I agree that this is a good thing. I have little to no experience with MMO’s, and immature underage d-bags are the #1 complaint I hear from my MMO fans. Problem solved, although I feel for them in that this will negatively effect sales.

Jack A. says:

It probably won’t effect sales much at all, hell might even buff sales. GTA V was rated M, and even though GTA’s reputation isn’t too great with parents (understatement) it made a billion dollars in the first 3 days. No one cares about ESRB’s ratings, not parents not gamers, if they did why are millions of nine year olds playing cod? The M rating will be great for future content and patches down the line and i can’t wait.
